CSE is the statewide administrator for the Charge NY Drive Clean Rebate Program that supports greenhouse gas reduction goals through greater use of clean vehicles.
The initiative aims to increase adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by consumers and fleet managers in New York State. It provides point-of-sale rebates up to $2,000 for more than 60 models of new plug-in hybrid electric cars and all-electric cars. Residents, businesses and government entities are eligible.
In addition to processing rebate applications, CSE provides outreach and education to help dealerships and manufacturers participate in the initiative. The initiative is managed by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).

Charge NY Drive Clean Rebate Program Impacts
To date, CSE has administered and processed more than $91.7 million for EVs in New York.
CSE has issued more than 74,270 rebates for EVs in New York.
Vehicles receiving rebates have reduced greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to more than 199,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide.
