Our Modules

The CenterTrak Operations Group is working to build a modular model railroad designed with operations in mind. We started back in 2010 and we are always looking for others interested in model railroad operations and module construction to join us in expanding our layout. We will be using our Yahoo and Facebook groups for the discussions and planning and this web site to share information with the public.

Purpose

The purpose behind building a modular operating railroad is to provide an opportunity for our members to showcase their talents, and their enthusiasm for the hobby, at shows and events in the Midwest. The traditional run around in a loop type modular railroad no longer appeals to our members. Building a railroad that forces our members to operate the trains rather than just watch will enhance the enjoyment and provide a place for fellowship and camaraderie.
