CSE coordinates the San Diego Regional Clean Cities Coalition comprised of stakeholders in the public and private sectors focused on increasing the use of alternative fuels and alternative fuel vehicles.
The goal is to displace eight billion gallons of petroleum in the transportation sector by 2020. Through planning, education and outreach, CSE and its local partners promote alternative and renewable fuels, idle-reduction measures, fuel economy improvements, emerging technologies and transportation infrastructure supporting ethanol, natural gas, propane, hydrogen, biodiesel and electricity.
The San Diego Regional Clean Cities Coalition is one of about 100 coalitions nationwide funded by the Department of Energy.
